Calculator app #dailyUI Challenge 004
Designing bunch of screens via the #dailyUI Challenge to quickly catch up on Figma as I am moving away from Adobe Xd.
A/B - Which one should I go with?
A: Top to bottom background animation to reveal the app
B: Radial background animation to reveal the app
Do you see the difference? After pressing on the app button, in option A, the navy app background slides down from top to bottom to allow the app components to be revealed.
Whereas in option B, the background expand radially from the app button.
Pros and cons:
In option A, we have a great flow between the background animation and the components' reveal. We have one nice and clear direction from top to bottom.
In option B, we don't have that clear top to bottom direction, but we have a clear storytelling/visual cue since the app background expands from the app button. It's a nice transition between the apps menu screen and the calculator screen.
