Project Overview

Previously, JKT48 Private Message used LINE as its primary platform to operate its service. However, at the beginning of this September, the company behind JKT48, Toei Techno International Inc, relaunched JKT48 Private Message in the form of an application. However, shortly after its launch, many users criticized the poor UI and UX of the JKT48 Private Message app, deeming it unprofessional.

However, JKT48 has its unique characteristics that could have been highlighted in this application, allowing the JKT48 vibe to shine through.

What's New

The redesign brings a symphony of new features, from enhanced chat interactions to a vibrant, JKT48-inspired color palette that dances across the screen. We've amplified the excitement of connecting with your idols and fellow fans.

A New Color Palette

I curated a brand-new color palette that sets the stage for a lively experience. Inspired by the vibrant energy of JKT48's performances, these colors breathe life into the app. It's a visual celebration, and we can't wait for you to dance to its rhythm.

Benchmarking Against the Best

By benchmarking LINE Messenger's interface, I drew inspiration from its layout, navigation, and interactive elements. I carefully adapted and incorporated these elements into the revamped JKT48 Private Message app to provide users with an intuitive and recognizable platform. This benchmarking process allowed me to leverage the best practices from a well-established application while tailoring them to the unique needs and branding of JKT48.
