Sapphire & Gold – Animated Illustration Series

Blue and gold is a colour combination that always fascinated me.Many of my recent illustration projects somehow feature such combo, with slightly different variations each time – so I rearranged them to make them look as if they were part of the same series. Which, hey, in a certain way they are, since the underlying theme is “people who allow me to make a living out or doodling skyscrapers and synthesizers”. Hope you’ll enjoy the series!

SectorLabs

dingOne of my favourite client projects to date: Vlad Danciu from SectorLabs, a software company mostly active in real estate, approached me asking to create an hyper-detailed, skyscraper-filled illustration, which had to be installed at the entrance of the company building. I was so in love with the result I ended up crafting an animated version as bonus content!

Wavs

And here we go with the third of the list: Wavs is an extremely successful music library founded by entrepreneur Daniel Mizrahi. I had the honor of creating a few social and web animated assets – with this one here being among my favourites, since I never use top-down points of view!

Behind the Scenes

The process for crafting these animations is quite straightforward – I usually produce three hand-drawn sketches, with the client picking the one to digitalise.

Together with the digitalisation there’s almost always a colour exploration, from which a favourite option is selected, and right after that, brought to life via animation.

Thank you!

All hail skyscrapers & synths!
