[The Animism Series] the Goddess of the mountain

In Chinese，I call her shanmuniang (山姆孃). This is the way how the local people call an elderly women in Dali, China. I have got the inspiration from Dali where I lived for the past two years.

I used the Mount Cang as the original reference to draw the body of the mountain.

But same as the light god, I did't draw a specific body of the goddess. What I try to illustrate is the feeling of the god. She is there, firm and holding a strength encouraging the people who lived under her place.

In this picture, the mountain goddess has a very warm and peaceful face. She looks like a fire but she isn't a fire. The trees around her has the fancy shapes and colors. There is a mount chain at the bottom of the picture. That's the Mount Cang belongs to. The Hengduan Mountain chain.
