Breguet Type Series introduction

Based on the production of the first chronograph watch produced by the company in 1935, Breguet completed the design of this watch according to specifications and named it Type XX. The first batch of secretly produced watches were recognized by the French Technical Center in 1950. From 1954 to the 1970s, Type 20 became the designated timepiece for the French Air Force, aviation test centers and naval forces. Since these watches are the property of the state and are only worn by pilots when performing particularly important missions, there are not many in terms of quantity. This series of chronographs still retains the original flyback function to meet the needs of the flight search mode. Type XX has a tough appearance and solid structure. It is widely welcomed by sports watch enthusiasts who pursue originality and technology. There are two models in the Breguet Type XX series: Aéronavale and Transatlantique with a date display, while Type XXI has a central flyback minute totalizer and a 24-hour time display. Breguet also produces the Transatlantique women's watch to meet the needs of women who love high-end technology and elegant style.

After 1986, Type XX watches were converted to civilian use. The real hit was the third generation Type XX launched in 1995, named Aéronavale. To this day, the Type 20 series in production is still a series sought after by aviation experts and watch history enthusiasts. Breguet developed it into a complete family equipped with automatic winding flyback chronograph movements .

Breguet Type XX 3800

Type XX Aéronavale 3800 stainless steel flyback chronograph. Self-winding movement with small seconds dial. 30 minute and 12 hour totalizer. The scale dial can be rotated in both directions. Luminous hands and digital hour markers. Bolted crown. Waterproof depth 10 Pa (100 meters). Diameter 39 mm.

Breguet Type XX 3820

The flyback chronograph watch Type XX 3820 has an automatic winding movement with a small dial for the calendar and seconds, as well as a 30-minute and 12-hour cumulative timer. The outer ring of the scale can be twisted, and it has luminous hours, minutes, seconds hands and digital time scales. Screw-lock crown with 100-meter water resistance. Size 39mm, made of stainless steel and titanium.

Breguet Type XXI 3810

The Type XXI 3810 watch, which is an extension of the Type 20 , is equipped with a central flyback minute totalizer and a 24-hour time display. /Night display and 12-hour cumulative timer, the outer ring of the scale can be twisted, and has luminous hour, minute, second hands and digital time scales. The screw-locked crown is 100 meters waterproof. Size increased to 42mm. Available in rose gold, stainless steel and titanium alloy.

Breguet Type XII 3880

Another Type  XII 3880 uses a silicon escapement. The vibration frequency of the movement is as high as 10 Hz. Its outstanding performance is astonishing. It is available in rose gold and stainless steel. The minute scale ring is composed of red and white short lines, combined with the red and white two-color digital hour mark second hand scale ring, you can clearly understand at a glance whether the timer is in the first circle (red) or the second circle (white) of the 30-second rotation area. The BREGUET TYPE XXII chronograph has a flyback function, which can reset the totalizer to zero and restart quickly with just one operation. In addition, the watch has a second time zone display and is accompanied by a calendar window. Through the crown with two functions, the central hour hand can be adjusted and the second time zone indication can be reset without affecting the minute hand. When the crown is in the central hour hand adjustment position, the calendar follows the time in the central main time zone. The 3 o'clock position is a 24-hour day and night display, which helps the wearer know whether the area covered by the second time zone is day or night. The sub-dial at 9 o'clock displays the rotating seconds hand, which also rotates in 30-second intervals, highlighting the extraordinary nature of this piece. The brown dial contrasts sharply with the red flyback hands, and is paired with a corresponding brown leather strap .

Breguet Aéronavale 3803

This year, in order to highlight the centenary of the founding of the French Naval Air Force, Breguet participated in the event with its proud watchmaking skills; creating a limited edition special edition of Aéronavale 3803, with only 1,000 pieces in the world. It is slightly different from the 3800. It has a two-way rotating bezel painted in black paint. The Arabic numerals on the bezel are slightly larger than the general version. The retro crown is specially made for the limited edition. The French Naval Air Force emblem is engraved on the back of the case. As well as the starting and ending years of the 100th anniversary, such a historically significant commemorative watch comes with an exclusive display box and limited edition certificate.
