Helping users to view, edit and send different attachments and files against a job.

The initial problem was that the legacy function meant only photo’s could be viewed in a modal window, all other files had to be downloaded to the users computer to view and that caused unnecessary stress. Especially when working at speed to ‘check something’.

This was part of a larger product change initiative. Where we evolved the users ability to save, view, inspect, edit, download, send and delete files against a job such as pictures of proof of work or site recordings.

The real technical benefit we added was the ability to view all files types with basic controls to inspect the file; zoom in and move around. This saved the user time and stress looking for details they could now check quickly. See ux case study here
