TikTok. Time Restriction Feature

I have realized that TikTok is stealing my life! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Getting hooked on TikTok can be an enjoyable pastime, but for many people (including me), it escalated into a real problem. Recently, I realized that I have become addicted to TikTok and its "great" content. I felt that my dopamine really depended on this app. When I was waking up in the morning or trying to get sleep, I wanted to scroll through the TikTok feed. I don't want to be so dependent on it. Where is my willpower gone?

We know that our time is our most valuable resource, and it is not right to lose it in this stupid way. So, a few days ago, I decided to fix it. Instead of spending time there, I'll be doing something significant, like spending time on live communications or creating valuable design insights on LinkedIn.

As a UX/UI designer, I wondered how we could potentially reduce the time spent in TikTok πŸ€”? Let's forget the real business goal of TikTok creators and focus better on how to help people like me.

What I see initially is to add restrictions:

Variant 1: Restriction on the amount of daily time spent in TikTok.

Variant 2: Restriction on amount of videos (including streams) viewed per day.

Variant 3: Parent control. It should allow setting time restrictions on the child's account, and disabling this restriction should be able only by password (4 digits enough I think).

Also, TikTok can try to earn more money by adding the button "Unblock more videos for $."

I have shown one of my ideas in the attached image to this post.
