A quick concept for a project I started over the weekend. With the tragic events in Oregon, national debate is once again stirred up over gun control in this country.

Both sides have a lot to say on the subject, so I wanted to try my hand at concepting a solution to address these concerns. The solution has two major components: first, the ability to include a chip or RFID on newly manufactured guns; and second, the ability to detect the presence of guns via geo-location from a smartphone.

This shot focuses on the latter of these two components and assumes the former technology exists. The word "Syght" has a double meaning, and is a play on particular equipment found on many guns, a sight. As well as an individual be alerted to the presence of a gun in their area, a sighting.

The tagline reads: Safety is everyone's right
