The app represents a "buddy" that replaces a real person and guides new or exchange students around the city of Rijeka, introducing them to local student-recommended places. With a simple tap on your screen, you can explore nearby restaurants, entertainment venues, parks, and more, all recommended by your fellow students.


The challenge

For incoming students, navigating a new environment, making friends, and finding their way around campus can be overwhelming and intimidating. They may not know where to go for academic support, social activities, or even basic necessities like the nearest dining hall or bookstore. This lack of familiarity and knowledge can lead to feelings of isolation, anxiety, and frustration.

The solution

The app will contain recommendations and reviews made by local students for newcomers who can find helpful tips about student life in Rijeka. Additionally, personalized recommendations based on user preferences will ensure that each student's experience is unique and tailored to their interests.

The map's user-friendly interface allows you to zoom in and out, pan across neighborhoods, and use the distance-based filter, ensuring that you find precisely what you seek and wish. Whether you're a foodie, an art enthusiast, or a wild adventurer, the app will have tailored suggestions just for you.
