Snack ordering app for movie theater- fully functional prototype

If you are from Bangladesh, you must be familiar with how Star Cineplex has revolutionized our movie-watching experience. From their top-notch movie theaters, situated in various locations, to their simultaneous release of Hollywood films with other parts of the world, they have played a crucial role in drawing the middle and upper-middle class back to the cinema. The introduction of online ticketing has eliminated the need to wait in long lines to purchase tickets for popular releases.

But they are still lagging behind in one area. Just like purchasing tickets, we still can’t order our favorite snacks online. There are still long queues at the snack counter during intermissions. The struggle of answering nature’s call and buying your snacks before the movie resumes is real.

To solve this problem I came up with the idea of movie snacks, an online snacks ordering app for movie theaters like Star Cineplex.

The idea itself is pretty simple, if you have purchased your tickets online, you have already input your mobile number in the movie theater database. So you simply log in with your mobile number (enter OTP for verification), and after a successful login, the app searches the database and confirms the schedule and location of the movie that you are going to watch next. Then it will direct you to the snacks menu, from which you can proceed to checkout, just like any other food ordering app.

After careful consideration, I didn't keep the option of receiving the food at your seat, because I thought it would hamper the movie-watching experience of others. So still you have to collect your food from the counter, but everything else is already done.
