Thirst Exhibition - Sydney Design Week 2022

We have a Thirst for change. The excessive waste generated by events and exhibitions, coupled with society's relentless pursuit of rapid turnover, shifting objectives, and material wealth, has compelled us to pause and reflect. This exhibition serves as a reminder to slow down, to appreciate the art of brewing a cup of tea, and to celebrate modern craftsmanship influenced by Japanese and Chinese tea cultures.

We repurposed off-cut sandstones provided by the NSW government as our display plinths, and by the end of the exhibition, these stones were adopted by our local community and the artists, giving them a second life.

We featured 100+ everyday ceramic wares from Taiwan, Japan, and Korea.
