Penrack Logo design

In this design exercise, my primary focus was on creating a new brand centered around custom pens that customers can order. These custom pens primarily consist of five parts: the Cap, Clip, Body, Neck, and Tip. Customers have the freedom to mix and match these components to create a custom pen tailored to their preferences.

The main challenge I aimed to address was striking a balance between infusing the brand with a playful, youthful vibe while still maintaining a level of seriousness to appeal to both late teens and parents.

To achieve this, I opted for a modern font with clean, straight edges to give it a contemporary and professional appearance. However, I chose to present the brand name in lowercase letters to introduce an element of informality.

To visually convey the customizable nature of the pens, I used differently sized blocks to simulate the assembly of various parts into a single pen shape.

Further emphasize the brand's personality, I incorporated a range of colors such as blue, green, and pink, creating a design that blends fun and modernity in a cohesive package.

As a final note, I set one specific requirement for myself: the logo needed to have a horizontal orientation, favoring width over height. This decision was influenced by the physical nature of the pen and how the logo would be applied when printed on it. If you wish to see the extensive view of this logo you can click here!
