Reunion Event: Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern
We are happy to share a project many months in the making with our partners at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. We were asked to help rebrand their 2023 Reunion event, which brings alumni together to reconnect, be inspired, and reignite their Kellogg spirit. It’s also a time to give back.
The two main goals were to:
- Grow event attendance to pre-covid levels (1,876 alumni in 2019)
- Increase Annual Giving dollars and donors
To bring awareness to the event and promote registrations, we needed to create a suite of marketing materials supported by a new logo and visual identity. We utilized Kellogg’s existing brand language to create something unique and ownable for the event. We then applied this treatment to graphics for social, email, web, and invitations, as well as for the event itself through signage and wayfinding. The branding was also applied to staff shirts and presentations held during the event.
In addition to the core identity, we were tasked with branding the Reunion Cup Challenge, Kellogg’s multifaceted, mini-giving campaign. The logo and marketing materials for this fundraising initiative needed to create hype and gain donations for the school.
We are happy to report that we helped Kellogg meet their goals by bringing in more than 2,000 attendees, exceeding their fundraising goal by $20K, and by adding 50 new donors.
Here’s what Kellogg shared about their experience working with us:
“Pono was great to work with, providing us with visually appealing content and guidance on copywriting to create materials that we shared in print, on our website and via email. The team was prompt and communicative. They helped us to capture the attention of our audience and exceed our event and fundraising goals.”
