MediaWiki Mirlo Skin for Wikiarquitectura

Introducing the mirlo MediaWiki skin. The skin follows this 3 basic principles:

*Keep the important handy.
*Always know where you are.
*Hide what only 0.1% of the users actually use.

8 years ago when I started WikiArquitectura CMSs weren’t what they are today… plugins were few, themes almost inexisting… little by little WordPress started setting the standard and MediaWiki fell behind (in my opinion).

Over the years I´ve grown tired of waiting for MediaWiki to come up with an up to date skin, so over the summer I decided to build my own skin for WikiArquitectura. Although it´s already live (http://wikiarquitectura.com) it´s still a work in progress, but once its finished I will make it available for free so that any other MediaWiki site owners who are frustrated like me can use it.

I have to say unlike WP it is quite hard to edit the HTML structure of MediaWiki, so I couldn’t do everything I would’ve like to, but still I’m quite happy with the result!
