The Blind Queen, Aerthessa (2022)

A blind warrior queen does not need her eyes to see the world. With a visor made of animal bones - painted black and crafted for her when she ascended the throne - she experiences the truth of her reality without visual bias.

So here's another concept character from my imagined universe. If you are familiar with some fantasy concepts, I imagined her to be a necromancer with plenty of "familiars" that she can summon to aid her.

I've been drawing and painting characters that are very still and statue-like. I realized that after painting this one and thought that I need to make my drawings feel more alive. From here on, I will try harder to do so.

This is just the shading with the line art (no base color). I thought it just looked cool and ethereal against the gray background so I decided to include it.
