Book Illustration

Every illustrator wants to do a book at some point. I have been lucky enough to not only illustrate a book but also illustrate a book written about something quite close to my heart: rock n roll. 1 2 1 2 is a book written by Dave Chislett about how bands can get into the music industry in South Africa. I tried to capture the mischief, the chaos and the excitement one must feel when on stage or touring from stage to stage. I really got the chance to play around with mixing and matching various brushes and execution styles in photoshop. This one was a lot of fun.
