The Future I Cannot See

'The Future I Cannot See' is a collection of stories and accounts from an Afghan refugee who is currently detained in Indonesia, and has been for nearly 9 years (as of 2023). Author Hussain Shah Rezaie uses his writing as a way to cope with his situation and detail the experience, but to also open up about his feelings and struggled. I designed, formatted, typeset, printed and bound this heartfelt publication to reflect this and the Author's incredible emotional vulnerability that he shares with the world. The centre opening reflects Hussain opening up, and the darker and harder cover containing a warm white inside reflects the kind of person Hussain is existing within the hard reality of his situation.
