SkyHive: CTA Banner Animation

I'm thrilled to unveil a dynamic addition to the recently rebranded SkyHive website. From a provided static branding element, I was tasked with creating a simple, eye-catching animation to help make the browsing experience more engaging and memorable. I used After Effects to create the animation and exported it to Lottie format via the Bodymovin plugin.

💡 Why Lottie and not GIF?

Scalability: Lottie animations are vector-based, which means they can scale infinitely without losing quality. GIFs, on the other hand, are raster images and can become pixelated when scaled up. This is especially important for responsive web design, where animations need to adapt to various screen sizes and resolutions.

Smaller File Sizes: Lottie animations typically have smaller file sizes compared to GIFs. This is because Lottie animations are vector-based and use a JSON file format, which is more efficient at compressing and transmitting data. Smaller file sizes mean faster loading times, which is crucial for user experience, particularly on mobile devices with limited bandwidth.
