Saudi Arabia Metaverse - Made with Unreal and Blender | Jay Soni

Project Overview: In this immersive 3D world design project, I had the privilege of collaborating with the Government of Saudi Arabia to create a virtual environment that not only celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom but also envisioned its promising future. This project aimed to encapsulate the essence of Saudi Arabia through innovative and interactive design, bridging the gap between the past, present, and future.

Design Concept: Our design concept was deeply rooted in Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage, embracing its traditional motifs, architecture, and iconic landmarks. We sought to transport visitors through time, offering them a journey that simultaneously honored the nation's history while showcasing its dynamic progress.

Key Elements and Features:

  1. Cultural Richness: The 3D world design incorporated intricate details inspired by Saudi Arabian culture, including ornate patterns, calligraphy, and architectural marvels. The goal was to make visitors feel like they were walking through a living museum of Saudi heritage.

  2. Time Travel Experience: To capture the essence of the past, present, and future, the world was divided into distinct zones. Visitors could seamlessly transition between historical eras, experiencing ancient traditions, modern urban life, and futuristic innovations within the same environment.

  3. Interactive Experiences: Interactivity was a core aspect of the design. Visitors could engage in cultural demonstrations, explore bustling marketplaces, and even take part in futuristic workshops or educational simulations. This immersive approach aimed to educate, entertain, and inspire.

  4. Landmarks and Iconic Sites: Iconic landmarks, such as the majestic Masmak Fortress, the futuristic King Abdullah Financial District, and the serene beauty of the Red Sea coast, were faithfully recreated to provide a sense of place and familiarity.

  5. Embracing Vision 2030: Our design also showcased Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiatives, emphasizing the nation's commitment to progress and sustainability. Visitors could interact with virtual exhibits demonstrating the Kingdom's efforts in various sectors like technology, entertainment, and tourism.

Outcome and Impact: The 3D world design for the Government of Saudi Arabia received widespread acclaim for its innovation, cultural authenticity, and educational value. It served as a powerful tool for promoting the nation's cultural heritage and its vision for the future on a global stage.

This project exemplifies the potential of immersive 3D design in conveying the essence of a nation's culture, history, and aspirations, while also providing an engaging platform for interactive exploration and learning.
