Quantum Poster Series
After a bit of time away from posting, here are a few throwback prints that fit nicely into my upcoming artistic chapter, called The New Silk Tundra. This series centers on the laws of quantum mechanics and the possibilities of simultaneously existing in more than one place at once. I also love to collage, with John Hartman and Seth Tobocman as two personal inspirations. In the Croc poster (#4), the ticker tape is from the crash of 1929. The circles are actually woven hats from National Geographic, which evoke the magician’s three-cup trick, where you don’t know where the ball is, but in a quantum-crypto sense, the ball is under every hat, and none of the hats all at once: everywhere and nowhere. The bridge represents the lifeline this could bring to billions of people who don’t have access to bank accounts, and the old German tanks represent armored vehicles and the militaristic power structures that develop alongside financial systems. The stingray is stealthy, and the text in the clouds is the source code from Dogecoin’s homepage. Halftone screens by @retrosupply.
