Il Divino Claudio: Two Concerts of Music by Claudio Monteverdi

In promotion of Duke University Chapel's presentation of two concerts of music of Baroque artist Claudio Monteverdi, this poster was illustrated after the painter Jan van Eyck's "Ghent Altarpiece." The works performed featured a vocal-only group of young musicians. The two shades of blue from Duke University's palette are used strongly throughout. The motif of the riff on van Eyck was used throughout print, email, and web iterations. Additionally, a short animated music video was produced for social media with illustrations that mirrored the lyrics of the Italian composer's most famous work, "Quel sguardo sdegnosetto."
