Insight

This was quite challenging for me as I am not good at digital art and I have rarely used Krita hence I needed to get used to the different brushes as well as coloring. I first took a reference image to trace over and then proceeded to work on the coloring and the outline.

I used various brushes and tools to refine the sketch, adding details to the hair and accessories and the pose. The layers feature as very useful for me as it allowed me to do corrections and adjustments easily. I tried to create depth and realism to the purple hair by using a darker color than light purple to act as a shadow. I then used the blending modes to blend the colors together. I focused more on the facial expression, particularly the eyes and mouth, to try my best to convey the desired emotion and personality by using different tone of colors as well as the blending modes. Lastly, I applied vibrant colors to bring the character to life, ensuring harmony and balance within the composition.
