UX / Case Study - Cat Sitter App

The Project |

Meow Care is a cat-sitter booking app that caters specifically to cat owners.

Project goal |

The goal of the project is to design an app that allows cat owners to easily book a sitter.

My Role |

UX designer designing from concept to delivery

Responsibilities |

My responsibilities include conducting interviews, creating paper and digital wireframes, developing low and high-fidelity prototypes, conducting usability studies, and iterating on designs.

User research: pain points |

  1. Time: Working adults often have busy schedules and don't have the time to search for a cat sitter. Many existing sitting apps require users to contact the sitter before booking, resulting in time-consuming back-and-forth communication that slows down the booking process.

  2. Accessibility: Existing pet-sitting platforms cater to both cats and dogs, but they lack specific filters for cat owners' unique needs. These needs include medication requirements and a cat-friendly environment, which are not adequately addressed in the search filters of current platforms.
