VYNIL COVER | MAGUA CON MIEL (concept art)

Personal project born from my admiration for Bruno, better known as Choclock, artist and producer from the Canary Islands; and his last album Magua con Miel. Beyond the fact that the guy is very good at what he does, he is also a funny guy. If you follow him on the social media you can tell he knows how to shitpost, and for me that's a reason to like him. And on top of that there is my man Blurred Mirror a.k.a. CHUFO at the controls. How could he not.

The artwork is the union between a photo of flowers, alluding to the pollen that bees collect and finally turn into honey, and experimentation with typography.

I am a great believer that it is not so important the typeface you use but how you use it, so in this case I use Garamond as the main typeface, which is one of the most used historically, and then adjust the tracking and even deform them to the top. It is accompanied by a Pinyon Script.

Finally I have superimposed some flowers to create a greater sense of depth.

Although in the end the cover I did was far from the original and the corporate image of the tour, because as soon as I knew that Bruno was going to release the album I went straight to do it. I was very aware of him because of the singles he had released that were going to be part of the album.
