Export feature (JamesEdition)
As a member of the product team, my focus was on enhancing the user experience for exporting statistical reports. This was a significant aspect of the broader project, the JamesEdition Seller Dashboard redesign.
Problem
All real estate firms featured on JE require performance reports regularly, encompassing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals. However, the export options on the dashboard were limited to predefined periods, with no opportunity for manual setting, which eventually affected the sellers reporting accuracy and made a half of the options the least clickable. Furthermore, both before and after the download, there was an absence of complete/incomplete action confirmation.
Solution
Informed by user research insights, the decision was made to implement a feature-rich date-picker with extensive quick selection options and manual time range selection capabilities. Moreover, the inclusion of confirmation messages for date selection and export outcomes, both successful and unsuccessful, was planned to enhance user awareness of the results.
