Nestled within the Camocin estate in Brazil, a unique coffee story unfolds. Indigenous jacu birds, an endangered species, become unexpected heroes in this tale.

The entire Camocin coffee plantation found itself at the mercy of these wild jacu birds. These beautiful creatures had a particular fondness for the finest coffee cherries, nearly decimating the plants. Instead of resorting to harm, a novel idea took root. Drawing from a distant memory of kopi luwak, Sloper wondered if he could create coffee in a similar way.
