Offsuit - Mobile Poker POC

Offsuit is a passion project with a group of online friends that I play poker with. Like others, we hate it when mobile apps use intrusive pop-up ads and spam notifications to their users — mobile poker apps are notorious for this.

On this project, I was the Lead Product Designer in charge of developing the design system, and play mechanics UX.

We’re still working on P2P play, but for the time being there’s a leaderboard that shows top players globally.

We also wanted to add some whimsy to the experience of playing poker in Offsuit, and commissioned PECLAND to create some really cool 3D avatars. There are 40 different avatars to choose from!

In future releases, there will be robust P2P play. Our goal with the intial release was to gather feedback to ensure we nail the “dynamic” of playing poker on a phone before we ask users to create an account.
