"Svitlychny" poster

Ivan Svitlychny (1902-1933) was a Ukrainian poet and journalist. He was famous for his profound literary legacy and wrote poems. He actively supported Ukrainian culture during the Soviet regime and became a symbol of resistance. He died in the gulag because of his commitment to an independent Ukraine and criticism of authoritarianism. Svitlyčný wrote: "The homeland is nobody and nowhere, I am also the homeland." (text on the poster, in Ukrainian: "Батьківщина - це не хтось і десь, Я - теж батьківщина. І. Світличний"")
