See all the information affected by a breach
In the event of a breach, see the account that have been directly affected. Read closely to learn what happened. What personal data of yours was included? When did the breach happen?
If you haven’t yet, change your password
Lock down your account with a new password. If you can’t log in, contact the website to ask how you can recover or close the account.
Stay informed and in control with just-in-time alerts on all your devices
The PeopleFinders Identity Monitoring service keeps track of changes or new activity linked to your identity report (if claimed), alerts you if your data is exposed in a data breach, and help you take steps to keep your personal info safe and protect your digital identity.
Understanding your Security Health Score
You can assess your security health with your Security Health Score on the Dashboard page. Security health refers to the level of security of any given user that activates the Identity Monitoring service in their PeopleFinders account. The Security Health Score feature uses a unique combination of metrics to determine the security health of users using PeopleFinders to monitor their identity.
You need at least one email address to have a score. Your Security Health Score is calculated based on all the breaches you’ve been involved in, and whether they're still 'Unresolved' or have been marked as 'Resolved'. It also considers all the changes found in the user's comprehensive report (if claimed). In calculating the score, we give more weight to more important accounts like banking, email and social media, as well as sensitive personal information like phone numbers, addresses, date of birth and SSN, since these are most likely to be targeted by bad actors and should always be your top priority.
Improving your Security Health Score
Your Security Health Score will increase when you update any of your unresolved breaches, but will be most affected by the status of the breaches that impacted your critical accounts. To get a 100 on your Security Health Score, mark all your breaches as 'Resolved' after taking the recommended steps to secure your personal data. You should also confirm all the changes found in your report.
