Evmos

Evmos, a new crypto exchange and dApp platform, represents the bridge between the EVM and Cosmos networks both linguistically and technologically (Ev-mos. Got it.) I partnered with this team of tech-wizzes to develop a fresh visual identity.

Because of their relationship to the Cosmos ecosystem, Evmos has adopted a proclivity for celestial designations. Among their references, most relevant are Tharsis and Olympus Mons, two massive, Martian volcanoes — sources of both disruption and creation, adequate symbols for the company’s lofty goals.

Early sketches and color tests attempted to marry these cues with our watchwords: connection, compatibility, and interoperability. Of equal importance was the logo’s legibility on the Evmos crypto-coin, therefore, monograms were taken into special consideration.

Eventually, we landed on a planet icon which deftly reveals a lowercase e. With a logo secured, we surveyed a multitude of color systems. The resulting palette invokes the rusty tones of Mars — a welcome relief from the familiar sea of tech-industry blue. All in all, the identity gives Evmos a distinct presence in blockchain universe.
