New Year's Day Animation

The Cleveland Institute of Art requested an animated graphic for New Year's Day to post on their instagram. This project required the use of after effects and was due three days before the post date. 

Process

The project was created in After Effects, and started with finding colors for the numerical elements. The color palette was based on the school primary and secondary colors. The brief was to incorporate the numbers as the main element in the design.​​​​​​​ To keep the animation simple, effects and preset functions in after effects were explored. The Animation came together using a combination effects including wigglerama, glow and fade, with adjusted transformer functions. 

Solution

The final animation passed the review process with changing some colors per clients request. The graphic was delivered on time and posted on January 1st.
