Coco Rico Redesign

Coco Rico is a Puerto Rican soda brand made in Puerto Rico and is family owned. The Coco Rico brand was introduced into supermarkets in Puerto Rico in 1935, and is currently available throughout the United States. Coco Rico is flavored with coconut extracta and is produced in both plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Coco Rico comes in coconut and diet coconut flavors. The brand has used the color green, yellow, and red on its cans and bottles with illustrations of coconuts and palm trees.

In my redesign of the soda, I have changed the colors to light yellow, brown, and dark brown to embrace the history of the soda brand. I then created a digital illustration of a Coqui surrounded by palm trees and mountains to embrace the scenery and history of Puerto Rico. I purposely made my drawing have an aged feel because Coco Rico has been around since 1935. Lastly, I put a Coqui on the can because it is native to Puerto Rico and they are declining due to habitat loss.
