An app for teaching reading skills in different languages
As a native speaker (and writer, and reader) of English, learning to read and write in different languages has been both a thrill and a challenge.
Different writing systems require different ways of mapping between symbols and what those symbols represent, be they individual consonants and vowels, individual syllables, or multi-syllabic words.
As I develop my own app for language learning, I tap into a mix of personal experience, pedagogical practice, and linguistic theory.
