👋 Hello Dribbblers,
I’m excited to present the homepage for Kinetic Labs, an e-commerce platform specializing in mechanical keyboards. 🎹
🎯 Objective
The goal was to revamp the homepage to improve user engagement and enhance the shopping experience.
To achieve this, I made the following design decisions:
🔘 Smart navigation
I chose to forego the inclusion of large banners, focusing instead on facilitating swift and effortless navigation to essential areas such as product categories, popular items, and the keyboard builder.
However, I've also allocated a designated section to showcase new product arrivals, striking a balance between promotional visibility and user-centric design.
🔘 Highlighted Community
One of the most powerful assets in contemporary marketing is the community that forms around a product. Recognizing this, I aimed to spotlight the invaluable role of the community in product development.
Community members have the capability to build custom keyboards that can be purchased by their peers. This not only fosters a dynamic exchange of experiences but also propels the product towards accelerated growth by leveraging collective creativity and expertise.
🔘 Micro-interactions & animations
These nuanced design elements contribute to the site's dynamicity, enriching user engagement without overwhelming the interface.
These micro-interactions provide a level of responsiveness that communicates attentiveness to user actions, thereby enhancing the sense of interactivity and polish on the platform.
