Foodify - A Food Donation App
Mobile apps for social welfare causes are important because its an opportunity for design to create something which spurs people to take care of others. World hunger is a well-known phenomenon and is also an Sustainable Development Goal for the UN.
So we asked ourselves...on a local level, can a mobile app help people feed others? So we designed Foodify, a simple app with a simple motive. Feed those in need.
We created an application structure based on our research...
We wireframed the app based on research, application structing and flow creation. One of our intentions was to introduce an experience similar to online food ordering apps which would allow us to not reinvent the wheel. At the same time, we knew we needed to give new experiences to the users...especially the 'reward' for donation...and so we introduced an impact journey.
Creating a clean and modern UI is always a challenge...
3D icons and graphics add a very interesting dimension to UI...literally...
The UI was created quite similar to a food delivery app...with tracking of food delivery etc...
A rating screen can sometimes have a good animation and a reimagination as well...
Eat well, feed others and take care.
