Creative agency, self-promo ad, biotech magazines : ORRBITT

Here's a simple, old school, magazine ad positioning Orrbitt Creative Group as a leading creative agency for Biotech & Life Sciences.

Ads should mostly be self explanatory, but here's a little insight into how I created it to promote our small, 10-ish person creative agency.

Biotech startup companies emerge almost daily with a novel idea to fix, treat, and cure patients. Orrbitt partners with these startups to help them broadcast a bold and beautiful brand to cut through the noise of their competitors. They rely on venture capital funding to keep their dreams alive as they progress through rigorous therapeutics trials and legal hurdles. They don't all survive, but each failed attempt is a stepping stone during this modern medical Renaissance.

And that's the key word that struck me – Renaissance. These new-age biological therapies share novel innovations akin to the Euro/Italian Renaissance of the 15th & 16th centuries. I loved the Renaissance connection concept, but was struggling to show it visually. I hunted for inspiration and a single microscopic image of cells solved my missing variable. It looked like the boot of Italy! Devine Intervention or Manifest Destiny? It didn't really matter to me; it was both.

In composite, this full page ad, if you give it more than 10 seconds of attention, encompasses Orrbitt's goal of intertwining medical discoveries with art & design. Scientists are artists, too. They are modern day DaVinci's, Michelango's, Brunelleschi's and Galileo's.
