📊 Our solution to that — that would allow to keep track of the tips in transactions history — is "Custom Total Sale Amount" as a tipping option.

In the realm of single-device touchscreen payment terminals, a new tip option has emerged that adds a touch of customization to the world of tipping. Introducing the 'Custom Total Sale Amount' tip option, where the act of tipping becomes a personalized journey, transforming transactions into moments of shared appreciation.

Imagine this scenario: you're a Merchant, ready to wrap up a transaction on your trusty payment terminal. But wait, your Client has something special in mind—they want to leave a tip that's as unique as their appreciation. Therefore they ask you to charge them an amount that is bigger than the amount of the sale transaction, knowing that you'd treat the amount difference as a tip. That's where the "Custom Total Sale Amount" option comes into play.

Step 1️⃣: Having the sale transaction amount inputed, select "Custom Total Sale Amount" from the Options → Tip.

Step 2️⃣: Now you, the Merchant, input the chosen total. Once confirmed, the custom tip amount is set, and the transaction is infused with a personal touch.

Step 3️⃣: The terminal screen illuminates, showcasing the outcome of this collaborative effort. Now, the Client can see the sale amount, the tip amount, and the total—a trio of figures that represent both the transaction and the appreciation it holds. And all that is presented on the "Tap or Insert Card" screen, which the Client sees while presenting the Card. Voilà!
