We were approached by the lovely folks at Detail to create a set of watermark and bumper animations for use in their app, and supporting collateral.

Watermark

With the watermark's placement being such a fundamentally important part of the brief, legibility was a big focus. Being unable to control the background footage meant that we needed to add colour to the reveal to help it kick off of brighter background plates.

The client had a clear direction. Fluid movements, tapered trim paths and subtle overshoots meant a substantial amount of null parenting and hand animation, particularly for the overshoots.

Bumper

The bumper execution's concept was built around the logo-mark's camera shutter creative. They needed something short and memorable to exist in the same world as the viciously familiar Tik-Tok pneumonic.

A bit of a challenge in landing the camera shutter concept before resolving to their star shape. Couple that with overlaying their color fills over a moving sequence. It took some tinkering.
