3D iOS Calculator

Did you know that the original iPhoneOS 1 calculator was a design tribute to a 1977 Braun ET44 Calculator? As the design changed over time I thought it'd be awesome to see how the current iOS calculator would look like if it were a physical gadget. Plus, I wanted to learn new skills and techniques in 3D and have some fun being creative!

I used Blender to build a whole 3D environment — the device and detailed eye-catching elements across the scene. It was a bit tricky because I wanted it to look realistic, just like a real device. I played around with shapes animation to make it feel like the buttons were squishy and pleasant to click.

The outcome? A 3D animation of the iOS calculator! My aim is to spark thoughts about how everyday digital objects can transform into artistic creations with just a sprinkle of imagination.
