"If ya can't stand the heat, then stay outta my kitchen".

My grandmother passed away earlier this year. She was the matriarch of our family and was passionate about cooking for and feeding her children and grandchildren. Most of my memories of her are of her in the kitchen, and whether she was making a pot of gravy (red), zeppoles or Christmas pizzelles, she was the master.

She was a tough old Italian broad, and sometimes that came with friendly threats like this one. Or less-friendly threats to bust out her rolling pin and take you over her knee. Call me crazy, but I still smile at that memory.

This is still a work in progress. I am still trying to make the type as close to perfect as possible. I would really, REALLY love some feedback on this guy.

Eventually, I will paint the finished design on a breadboard that I have hanging on my wall in my own kitchen, a gentle reminder from my granny to keep it together despite whatever challenges I am dealing with.
