Logo for "Victory and Recovery" Charitable Foundation
Hi! I created a logo for "Anti-War Movement of Ukraine" Public Organisation some time ago. And I got an invitation from a Client to create a logo for new Charitable Foundation after that. How was it? See my project below.
Task
I should design a logo for "Victory and Recovery" Charitable Foundation. The Charitable Foundation combines a commitment to the comprehensive renewal and modernization of all of Ukraine and the Ukrainian nation, a readiness to fight for its right to development, restoration of territorial integrity, and sovereignty. The foundation aspires to create innovative opportunities for everyone, financing projects aimed at improving the socio-economic situation of our state, strengthening its reputation on the international stage, and investing in areas such as healthcare (especially mental and psychological health), education, culture, and creativity, and more.
Target audience are patriots of our state, international investors, and government officials, students of humanities, etc.; everyone who cares about the future of Ukraine, who is ready to create the future together.
"It will be an interesting experience! I will conduct some research, but first of all, I want to ask the client several questions..."
I sent a brief to the Client, analyzed it then and created a Mood Board.
Mood Board - Charity
It was important to add symbolism to the logotype. So, I decided to choose hand sign of "victory", a deer as a symbol of spirituality, a dove as a symbol of piece, hand as a symbol that unites people and patriotic things (such as a flag, a map of Ukraine, national colors are yellow and blue).
"So many concepts of graphic symbols were offered to me by my imagination, and sometimes it wasn't easy to focus on one idea. So, I decided to maintain a brainstorming session with a sheet of paper and a pencil to express all my thoughts and clear my mind. It was really helpful because I could analyze all the ideas and choose only the best ones."
I created 4 variants of graphic elements for the logo.
Graphic elements
Logo #1 Phoenix - "Eternal life"
The element is created using negative space and consists of two key things: hands and the "heart" sign. The phoenix is a symbol of eternity, faith, and rebirth. This blend of eternal life, supported by people's hands, made me think that it could be a nice idea for the Charitable Foundation.
Logo #2 Deer - "Creative and Confident"
The element is inspired by "victory" hand sign and deer. However, the deer is a symbol of warrior, the graphic element of the logo is bold, creative and confident, as young people.
Logo #3 Deer - "Unity"
Two hands folded together that formed a silhouette of deer. This is a sign of unity, boldness and confidence.
Logo #4 Deer - "Your love is important"
Hands that give a life is a key idea of the graphic element. The deer's head is formed by negative space. The logo means revival, importance of an individual contribution to a common cause, boldness and confidence.
"Ideation is my favourite stage of Creative Process. But don't tell that to Sketching!"
Let's see how the logo looks with mockups.
Revision
After revision the Client chose the Logo #2 for the "Victory and Recovery" Charitable Foundation.
Client's Testimonial
"Addressing Ms. Katerina with a request, our Charitable Foundation received a prompt and sincere response. Our request – the creation of logos for public and charitable organizations – was completed in less than a week. We received not just logos but true symbols of our organizations. Quality, efficiency, and high standards – that's what we see in Ms. Katerina.
We thank her for what she has done for us. For her responses, readiness to work on a voluntary basis in a very short period, and for helping us in the implementation of several other projects. For her openness and support, as well as the effort she put into our further development and the development of charity in the country and national culture.
With respect,
Team of "Anti-War Movement of Ukraine'"

What is next?
I work with the "Victory and Recovery" Charitable Foundation as a designer-volunteer.
The Client invited me to become a member of the Foundation.
Some time ago the Client shared with me that the Charitable Foundation need a website. I helped to find specialists within 4 hours via LinkedIn. This was a true power of this social network! I also invite you to have a connection there - let's be in contact!
After that I helped to find lawyers to open the Foundation. And "Victory and Recovery" Charitable Foundation has opened!
We adapted the logo for using in social networks and website.
Logo Adaptation
The logo will be used on various social networks, including: YouTube, Facebook, Telegram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and Instagram. As the Foundation is young, it is important to maintain a consistent look across all resources.
