Brief: designing a mobile-first invoice making platform from scratch

Problem:

The community of home Service Providers, freelancers, and small businesses are growing rapidly, specially in Canada that accepts immigrant from various countries. This community have different requirements in terms of user experience, short learning curve, tax types, payment method, CRM tools, time/task management tools, etc. which calls for a unique design. Also,  they must carefully monitor their sells, expenses, and inventory, specially in the first years of biz.

Process: I started with competitors research (mainly features) and then drew following table. Based on the Finding and discussions, I developed 2 possible personas for freelancers / home services providers currently located in Canada would benefit from. The next phase was to prepare features list and design user flows I made in FigJam. In following, I made prototypes, and designed page-to-page product, screens, illustration, website, etc.
