En Vivo: A Dream GPT App

As a ChatGPT user myself, I find myself using it for all kinds of things. As I was using it to grow my UI skills or to save money on groceries, I found it frustrating that I had to scroll and dig to find the AI generated results I wanted. En Vivo is my solution to the problem of better organizing ChatGPT results and outputs.

ChatGPT, but Organized.

ChatGPT is the newest trending tech that early adopters have started to find everyday uses for. And while a task chat is a brilliant interface for interacting with AI, it currently lacks the ability to organize the results of your task.

En Vivo expands AI capability by storing your resume, meal plan, or trip itinerary into a specific and easy to find place.

Where You Need It. How You Need It.

Keep all of your task chats in one place. Edit the text, edit the ai generated photos, and most importantly, send your final results to your own folder where you can easily access it.En Vivo’s interface turns your classic chat into a fully customizable experience to make the most out of the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence.

Results. Outputs. Whatever You Call Them, You Can Find Them.

Don’t scroll endlessly through your chat trying to find that one recipe it generated a few weeks ago.Keep all of your Task’s final outputs in organized folders so you can easily find them. Easily organize all your outputs in the way that works best for you. List your trip plan by the day’s itinerary, or your meal plan by the daily recipe.

AI Tools When You Need Them. And Classic Tools When You Need Them.

Interact with your results with the power of AI. Check off items from a list, download photos, and email files to colleagues with one tap.

AI is cool, but some tools never die. Because typing a command to change a font is way more work than the classic font format tools,

Another GPT App?

Yeah, sorry about that. Between Bing, the Official Open AI, and the skillions of other currently available apps, there are hundreds of UI interpretations on interacting with the language model artificial intelligence. There’s some cool features here and there, but what they all lacked was a better way to organize the actual outputs or results generated from the AI.

Say you’re looking for a new job and turn to ChatGPT to help you build a resume, write a cover letter, and prep for your interviews. The nature of the Chat model forces you to digitally sift through clutter to find that resume that you built for that one job that would be perfect to submit for a new opportunity.

Survey Says!

So with no ‘it’ app for ChatGPT, most users are still using the desktop version. In fact of the 16 users surveyed that use ChatGPT, only 6 of them have used an app at all. When asked what they enjoy about their current app, participants cited the clean UI and the ease of use.

What Are These Crazy Kids Up To?

Most survey respondents were either Millennials or Gen Y of varying incomes but with familiarity and at least monthly use of ChatGPT. Respondents reported various uses for ChatGPT from personal to professional uses.

User Persona

The average ChatGPT user doesn't actually utilize any GPT app but interacts on the website both on desktop and on mobile. They're on all the mainstream social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), as well as one or two secondary platforms (reddit, Discord). Though they are technologically forward, they don't consider themselves hard core tech users.

User Flow

Understanding that ChatGPT users wanted more features and organization but weren’t necessarily master-level technology users, a smooth and familiar UI was the most appropriate solution to solve for both problems.

Wireframes

Modeling the UI after the high-functionality but simple navigation of applications like Google Drive and iMessage, the idea is to drive website users to the app with an experience that is intuitive and similar to how they’re already used to interacting with ChatGPT. Using colors as a guide around the app along with the flat design allowed the UI to remain clean yet user-centric.

The Word on the Street

In testing, users quickly adapted to navigating around the app. They remarked on the fun and easy UI and how the colors easily kept things organized. Other than wanting to know when the app would be published, users had no notes for improvement.
