BK Kids Banking App and Parents Web Portal

Good day to y'all! 🌼

Proud to share my latest exploration of the new branding Kids Banking App and Parents web Portal called BK Kids Banking App and Parents Web Portal.

Introduction:

BK Kids App is a groundbreaking solution designed to empower teenagers with financial literacy skills. The goal was to create an engaging and educational app while providing parents with tools to monitor their children's financial activities, all within the context of the Bank of Kigali.

The Problem:

My challenge was to develop a comprehensive solution that educates teenagers about financial management and encourages responsible spending habits. Also, I needed to provide parents with a seamless way to track their children's financial behaviors and progress. My objective was to design an intuitive, user-friendly app and web portal that catered to both teenagers and parents.

The Goal:

The primary objective of this task project was to design the "BK Kids App," offering teenagers essential financial tools and knowledge. Simultaneously, the parent web portal aimed to provide parents with a straightforward method to monitor and guide their children's financial behavior.

My Role:

As the Product Designer, I played a pivotal role in shaping every stage of the design process. From user research to sitemap creation, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design, my goal was to ensure a user-centric experience across both the app and web portal.

Responsibilities:

Throughout the task project, my responsibilities included in-depth user research, crafting sitemaps, developing wireframes, creating interactive prototypes, and designing the UI for both platforms.

Sitemap:

A clear structure was essential, so I meticulously designed a comprehensive sitemap. This visualized the primary app sections and mapped out user navigation, guaranteeing an intuitive and effortless user experience.

Digital Wireframes:

Moving from paper to digital, I created detailed wireframes using design software. These wireframes depicted the app's and the web screens, features, and user journeys more accurately, allowing us to visualize the layout and functionality in depth.

Mockups:

The next step was to develop mockups that captured the visual design and branding of both the app and web portal. Stakeholders comprehensively understood the solution's aesthetics and overall look and feel.

High-Fidelity Prototype:

Leveraging the mockups, I created a high-fidelity prototype offering an interactive representation of the app's and web functionalities and user interactions. This prototype facilitated stakeholders and potential users to experience the app's and web flow and features firsthand.
