Sneak peek of a new project!

“...Forest realm, you say?” I said in confusion. “Normally, forests like these should be more…” I attended to my surroundings.

“...Green?” Foli answered my recognition.

“Yes, Green! That’s what I was going to say! Seriously, what happened to the color? If this is a forest, shouldn’t there be more green in it?”

“Well, you see…” Foli prepared to explain. “Vellara is home to four Sacred Trees.”

“Which are…?” I didn’t know the other trees, the only one I knew was the Source Tree.

“The Shimmer Tree, the Summit Tree, the Starlight tree, and…”

“The Source Tree, right? That’s the tree we’re standing at right now!” I continued Foli’s explanation.

“Correct.” He asserted. “They provide our forest tribes with air, shelter, light, and magic.”

“Like, respectively, or…?” I was just curious.

“Yes, respectively.” Foli then continued his explanation. “We call this magic the Evergreen, and it brings balance and harmony to Vellara.”

“Awesome!” I was in awe of how Vellara’s magic worked.

“It was… until now.” Foli continued. “Something has attacked our Sacred Trees, and it’s making Vellara sick.”

“And not in a cool way.” I remarked.

“Bit by bit, leaf by leaf, including me.” Foli was still going. “I’m connected to the Evergreen, so I feel whatever my world feels.”

“So, let me get this straight. Something evil came in with no permission and just corrupted your world?” I summarized Foli’s explanation/exposition after he finally finished.

“Correct.” Foli said before sighing in a sad tone.

“Wow. I almost feel sorry for you.” I remarked. “I wish I could help, but I’d better get back to-”

“Wait! Y/N, I have an idea!” Foli interrupted me. “If you’re a Magi, then you’re also connected to the Evergreen!”

“What the heck is a Magi?” I was going to continue my statement, but now I was curious.

“A Magi uses their wand to cast magical spells.” Foli explained Magi to me. “For example, try pointing your wand at me, maybe say something related to healing, let’s try your Evergreen magic!”

“Well, if you say so…” I looked at my wand, then at Foli. I then pointed my wand at him and shouted, “Majestic Healing!”

Suddenly, Foli started to levitate, as a pillar of blue magic surrounded him. When it disappeared, Foli’s colors were now brighter, as well as the Source Tree’s.

“Wow. I really just did that?” I was in shock, but I was also happy.

“You did!” Foli was proud of me. “You are a Magi, Y/N!”

“I am a Magi, I am a Magi, I am a Magi!!!” I chortled in my joy.

“And if you healed me, then maybe you can heal Vellara too!” Foli remarked.

“You really think so?” I bounced while looking at Foli.

“Not yet, Y/N.” Foli cut my celebration short. “First, we need to train that wand of yours, since you’ve never really used it before, except for earlier. Follow me, I’ll show you to the Source Village.”

“Source Village?” I followed the Caretaker as he was walking.

“You’ll see when we get there.”
