Payyo
Payyo (name changed for confidentiality) is an online banking startup creating new user experience standards in the fintech industry.
Introduction:
In this case study, I will outline the process I followed as a freelance UX/UI designer to create a user-centered design for an internet bank. The goal was to design a seamless and intuitive banking experience that prioritizes user needs and enhances their overall satisfaction. The project involved multiple stages, including research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and testing.
User Research:
Conducted in-depth interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences when it comes to online banking.
Competitive Analysis:
Studied the UX/UI designs of other internet banks to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
Defined Personas:
Developed user personas based on research findings to guide design decisions and ensure a user-centric approach.
Information Architecture:
Created a clear and intuitive information hierarchy by organizing banking features, services, and content in a logical and accessible manner.
Sketching and Wireframing: Generated low-fidelity wireframes to explore different layout options and visualize the basic structure of the internet bank's interface.
Visual Design:
Developed a visually appealing design that aligns with the internet bank's branding, considering factors such as color palettes, typography, and iconography.
UI Components:
Created reusable UI components, including buttons, forms, navigation menus, and alerts, to ensure consistency throughout the design.
Responsive Design:
Ensured the design was responsive and optimized for various devices, such as desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.
Interactive Prototypes:
Built interactive prototypes using Figma to demonstrate the flow and functionality of the internet bank's interface.
Iterative Design:
Gathered feedback from stakeholders, clients, and potential users and incorporated their input into multiple design iterations to refine and enhance the user experience.
