Threads ‘23: Set Design

Before Threads, there was Plaid Threads - Our annual fintech conference focused on product announcement and customer stories.

For the set design it was important to us to keep expanding the concept of the deconstructed office as Powered By Plaid (our customer video series). We leaned into an art direction that made it obvious this was shot in a set and not a “real” office space. The event branding had a vibrant palette, so we complemented the graphics with accent props and modern furniture.

Our prop stylist, Mariana Urban created a dynamic double sided set pieces that were modular and rearrange according to the content. Example: We only used smooth blue wavy piece for the keynote and wavy pvc side for demos.
