Arcade Game Preview App
Google UX Design 7 Part Course Project - "Design a game Preview App For an Arcade"
Challenge: Design a game preview app for an arcade
Solution: Arcadar is an application that allows users to casually browse new and interesting games as well as save and share games via familiar and easy functionality
After initial research, I noticed that a lot of the long lasting apps tend to follow a similar structure when it comes to how users saved or shared information, no matter what they provided. That's what I kept in mind when designing this app, Familiarity.
This app is for users to quickly browse and preview games in an arcade near them. I included the ability for users to save games to a private list, and share games with friends and family aiming for an audience that can help spread the app through word of mouth. I was also sure to include familiar navigation like scrolling and saving (similar to instagram's scrolling and liking) and Game Landing pages that provide you with more information you may be looking for like photos and videos, (similar to Amazon's Item Landing Pages). I wanted this app to feel like users have been using it all along!
I learned so much through this course and had a lot of fun along the way!
