New Relic Docs Redesign

I led the UX and visual design on this navigation overhaul around September 2022 while a Senior Product Designer at New Relic. The goal was to increase some UX metrics that were scoring low around ease of use and ease of navigation. We introduced a global tree view navigation, where the previous Docs had several different sections with distinct navigation. I also introduced some UX enhancements, like a reorganization of top-level sections with headings, expand and collapse for the left-hand nav, and refreshing the visuals to align with a new design system.

The Docs site serves not just existing users but is a front-door to developers who come to Docs to evaluate New Relic's suite of tools, meaning it's a major source of traffic for new customers to New Relic.
