Kaizen Self graphic identity

This is brand identity project I worked on earlier this year. Kaizen Self is a startup building a platform to tackle mental health issues. 'Kaizen' is a japanese term which means something along the lines of change for the better, improvement; and very much acquired by business philosophers from this side of the globe.

In this case the word Kaizen + Self gives the idea of a continuous work of improvement on oneself, being the center of the communication for this brand identity. Here's part of the sketch work and outcomes of this process.

The chosen logo alternative tries to give this idea of the imperfect and the unfinished, to emphasize that self-development should grow as a habit rather than a achievable goal. This is the reason most of the sketches orbit about this idea of growth and continuousness (is that a word?).

Thanks for watching!
